Oklahoma's Kyler Murray pulls double duty on football, baseball fields

To say Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray has had a busy spring would be an understatement.

The former five-star athlete and 13th overall player in the 2015 recruiting class is battling on the football field to be the backup to Baker Mayfield, while also hitting leadoff on the Sooners' baseball team.

Originally signing with Texas A&M and then transferring to Oklahoma after one season, Murray went hitless Friday night against Texas in Austin, before jumping on a plane Saturday morning to participate in the Sooners' spring game later that afternoon.

After the football game, Murray re-boarded the plane and headed back to Austin to take part in Oklahoma's series finale against the Longhorns on Sunday.

"Kind of hectic, but not too hectic," Murray said to reporters Saturday, as shared by ESPN. "The hardest part of it all is juggling school with all of the activities of football and baseball."

As a freshman in 2015, Murray threw for 686 yards, five touchdowns, and seven interceptions in eight games with the Aggies, before deciding to transfer in the December of that year.

After sitting out the 2016 season due to NCAA transfer rules, Murray will have three years of eligibility left with the Sooners.
