Ohio State will have some high-profile guest coaches for its spring game.

The Buckeyes will welcome Lou Holtz and Phil Knight for the contest, the team announced Tuesday.

"I am very close to each of these individuals and I have enjoyed their friendship over many years, but even more I respect the impact they have had on Ohio State and college football," head coach Urban Meyer said. "I am looking forward to having Coach Holtz and Phil Knight on our campus as guest coaches, and I am very appreciative they want to take part in and support our spring game."

Holtz is a longtime college football coach who had stops at William & Mary, NC State, Arkansas, Minnesota, Notre Dame, and South Carolina. The 80-year-old captured a national title with the Fighting Irish in 1988.

Knight is the co-founder of Nike and a major supporter of Oregon athletics.

Ohio State's spring game is scheduled to kick off April 15.
