Arkansas names Paul Rhoads defensive coordinator

Arkansas has elected to promote within to fill its void at defensive coordinator, as head coach Bret Bielema named defensive backs coach Paul Rhoads to the position Monday night.

2016 was Rhoads' first season with the Razorbacks, having previously served as head coach at Iowa State from 2009-15.
Rhoads will replace the departed Robb Smith, who left for the same position under P.J. Fleck at Minnesota.
