Ohio State picks up 4-star receiver Jaylen Harris

Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

Jaylen Harris is the newest member of Ohio State's 2017 recruiting class, as the four-star wide receiver announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on Fri.

The Cleveland Heights, Ohio native chose to play for the Buckeyes over Michigan State and Penn State. He's ranked by ESPN as the No. 39 receiver in his class, and the No. 297 prospect overall.

With size on his side - standing 6-foot-6 and weighing 192 pounds - it stands to reason Harris could see the field as a true freshman.

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has already said he plans to open up the offense next season after the unit sputtered down the stretch this year.
