Perine breaks Oklahoma rushing record

Oklahoma running back Samaje Perine broke his school's career rushing record Monday, passing Billy Sims for top spot on the Sooners' all-time list during the Sugar Bowl.
A 16-yard run in the fourth quarter versus Auburn gave Perine 4,122 career rushing yards, putting him above Sims, who recorded 4,118 yards between 1976 and 1979.

Including his Sugar Bowl performance, Perine has now eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in all three of his seasons at Oklahoma.
