Auburn's John Franklin III: Sees action in loss

Franklin completed 2-of-4 passes for 85 yards at Alabama on Saturday, while also rushing three times for 14 yards in the 30-12 loss.

Analysis:

Franklin came on in relief of the ineffective Jeremy Johnson, and did manage a 55-yard completion to fellow freshman Eli Stove. With Johnson graduating and Sean White seemingly always battling injuries, Franklin should have a legitimate shot at the starting QB job entering the 2017 campaign.
