Auburn's Kerryon Johnson: Practicing but status still undetermined

Johnson (ankle) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice but Auburn won't make a decision on his availability until closer to game time, Tom Green of AL.com reports.

Analysis:

Head coach Gus Malzahn discussed Johnson during Wednesday's media availability, saying that his sophomore running back has improved throughout the week. Johnson injured his ankle in Auburn's win over Mississippi State and was unable to return, but the bye week has allowed him to get back out on the practice field. If he is available Saturday against Arkansas, Auburn will have its running game at full strength with Kamryn Pettway also in the fold.
