UCLA's Mike Fafaul: Three TDs, two INTs in place of injured Rosen

Fafaul completed 24-of-40 passes for 258 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions Saturday as UCLA fell to Washington State 27-21 on the road in Pullman.

Analysis:

With a dinged up Josh Rosen unable to play in Saturday's road tilt at Washington State, Fafaul was provided the opportunity to make his debut collegiate start, where he completed 60 percent of his throws for 258 yards and tossed three second-half touchdowns - including the first of his career on a 22-yard scoring strike to Darren Andrews in the third quarter. The outing, later referred to as "courageous" by head coach Jim Mora, was hardly flawless - the senior backup was picked off twice over the span of the game's final 27 minutes, for instance - but ought to provide Fafaul with plenty of confidence should he have to start for the Bruins once again in a Week Eight showdown with Utah.
