Big Ten to honor Foltz, Sadler with special coin

Sam Foltz and Mike Sadler, who tragically died in a car crash this summer, will be honored by the Big Ten with a special coin to be used at all seven conference games this weekend.

This Saturday marks the first full slate of Big Ten games this season, and officials will use the coins instead of the traditional ones, during the coin toss of each contest.

Nebraska's Foltz was the reigning conference punter of the year, and former Michigan State punter Sadler was preparing to attend law school at Stanford. The pair were traveling home from a camp in Wisconsin when their car crashed, killing both men. LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye was also involved, but survived the accident.

Teams have the option to continue using the coins for the remainder of the season if they so choose.
