Texas A&M's Keith Ford: Atop the depth chart at running back for A&M

Ford sat out last season due to transfer rules, but has the tools to be the every down back for the Aggies in 2016, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis:

A&M has lacked a true workhorse over the past few seasons, and as long as Ford stays healthy, the Oklahoma transfer can fill that void. Ford was the leading rusher for the Sooners to begin the 2014 campaign but broke his leg, missed five games, and then was supplanted by Samaje Perine. Ford will have to gel with a new quarterback, new offensive coordinator and a majority of new offensive linemen, but he should get every opportunity to succeed in a high-octane offense.
