Baylor's KD Cannon: Continues to be brought along slowly

Baylor's coaching staff is being cautious with Cannon's recovery from knee surgery, but head coach Jim Grobe told reporters that the star wideout could resume practice if it were the week before a game, John Werner of the Waco Tribune-Herald reports.

Analysis:

Cannon continues to rehab from offseason arthroscopic knee surgery, but it seems that he'd be able to get back on the practice field if the Bears were pressed for time. There's no exact timetable for him to get back on the field, but Baylor will likely continue to take the cautious route as long as it can afford to do so. Regardless, there's no indication that Cannon won't be ready when Baylor tees it up against Northwestern State in Week 1.
