Ex-Mississippi State RB Robinson blames Dan Mullen for trespassing call

Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

Former Mississippi State running back Josh Robinson, who is currently an NFL free agent, was issued a citation by police Tuesday night while on the school campus.

Robinson was cited for trespassing at the football program's athletic complex, according to the former Bulldogs Snap Chat and Twitter accounts:

The incident occurred just before 10 p.m., with Robinson subsequently blaming head coach Dan Mullen for calling the police on the running back.

"Don't even know what you're talking about," said Mullen when asked about the incident. He added, "Ok, well that didn't happen."

A Mississippi State official stated that no one from the football program had called the police about Robinson, but a track coach called when Robinson's car was parked on the track. The official also stated that protocol for former athletes using the facilities is to call ahead of time.

The running back, selected by the Indianapolis Colts in 2015, rushed for 1,203 yards in 2014.
