Baylor's KD Cannon: Undergoes minor knee surgery, expects to be ready for fall camp

Cannon underwent minor knee surgery earlier in July but he is expected to be ready for the start of fall camp, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Per ESPN's report, Cannon had some damage in his meniscus from earlier in the offseason and he opted to have it taken care of in time for him to be ready for the season. There is still every indication that Cannon will be ready for the start of fall camp, but there won't be full confirmation until the Bears put on the pads and resume practicing. Cannon's health is of the utmost importance for the Bears following the departure of star wideout Corey Coleman. Cannon finished second on the team in both receptions and yards last year, hauling in 51 grabs for 881 yards and six scores as a true sophomore.
