Marshall dismisses linebacker Raheim Huskey for violating team rules

Peter Casey-USA TODAY Sports

Marshall linebacker Raheim Huskey's days at Marshall are numbered, according to Grant Taylor of the Herald-Dispatch.

The team released the 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker for a violation of team rules and policies. He was projected to be a starter last season, especially after recording eight tackles in the 2014 Conference USA Championship game, but was passed over for Devontre’a Tyler.

Huskey played in six games last year but was suspended in October for the remaining portion of the season for 'violating team policies.'

The Gaffney, S.C. native had 48 tackles - five for a loss - in 20 games played with the Thundering Herd.
