Ohio State commit Clark willing to beat out Namath, Rodgers for QB job

It appears nothing will change Danny Clark's mind about attending Ohio State.

The four-star quarterback has been committed to the Buckeyes since 2013 and hasn't wavered, despite seeing fellow 2017 four-star pivot Tate Martell commit to Urban Meyer and company.

"I don't want to come off as rude, but that question has been asked to be hundreds and hundreds of times, and like I have said before," Clark told Ari Wasserman of Cleveland.com. "I don't care who they bring in. I don't care if they bring in Joe Namath, I don't care if they bring in Aaron Rodgers. I am going to come in and compete and win the job."

The dual-threat signal callers were both on hand Friday at Ohio State's Friday Night Lights camp, and Clark feels like he showed everyone what he's capable of.

"I was full lion mode," Clark said. "There were a couple guys here, and the coaches were putting us up against each other. I was just coming out here to show that I was the best guy for the job and I was doing everything I can to be the next great Buckeye quarterback."

Whoever ultimately ends up winning the job down the line is going to have a difficult time living up to the bar that Braxton Miller, Cardale Jones, and J.T. Barrett set in recent years.
