After just 14 months at Missouri, athletic director Mack Rhoades is leaving the school for the same position at Baylor.

Rhoades will be introduced by Baylor at a press conference Monday, according to Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports. The move was first reported Wednesday afternoon by Gabe DeArmond of Rivals, who cited sources.

"This past year has taught me a great deal about who I am as a person and as a leader," Rhoades said in a statement obtained by ESPN's Max Olson. "I am very grateful to the people I've worked with and come to know throughout the state of Missouri. The experience has helped galvanize a commitment to my core values and to the values I want to infuse into an athletic program."

Rhoades was hired by Missouri in March 2015, though he didn't officially take over the job until April of that year, after serving the previous six years as the athletic director at Houston.

At Baylor, Rhoades will be tasked with cleaning up an athletic department mired by the sexual assault scandal that hangs over the football program. Turmoil isn't a new concept to Rhoades, though, as last year he watched Missouri's football team demand the removal of school president Tim Wolfe for race-related reasons and threaten to boycott the program if the demand wasn't met.

Baylor, meanwhile, was searching for a new AD since the resignation of Ian McCaw, who stepped away from the school as the scandal exploded.

Rhoades was responsible for the hiring of head football coach Tom Herman at Houston, which will undoubtedly fuel speculation that he could now attempt to lure Herman to Baylor. The Bears currently have Jim Grobe operating on a one-year contract to serve as the interim head coach.

Rhoades recently tabbed Barry Odom to take over as head coach of Missouri's football team following the retirement of longtime coach Gary Pinkel. Odom said he learned of Rhoades' decision to take the Baylor job Tuesday night.

On the basketball side, Rhoades leaves the Tigers with Kim Anderson as head coach, with whom he stuck despite a second straight awful season.
