19 players from Ohio State-Notre Dame Fiesta Bowl selected in NFL draft

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

There was a lot of hype leading up to the Fiesta Bowl in January between Notre Dame and Ohio State. Not only did it feature two of the biggest programs in college football, but there was plenty of potential pro talent on the field.

When the NFL draft came to an end in Chicago on Saturday, 19 players from the game had been selected.

Ohio State produced 12 players and fell just short of the record set by the 2004 Buckeyes squad, which had 14 players drafted.

Notre Dame had seven players have their name called, which tied for fourth with both Alabama and Florida. UCLA had eight, while Clemson finished in second with nine.

Ohio State's Joey Bosa was the highest pick, going third overall to San Diego.
