NCAA denies Iowa DL Drew Ott's medical hardship waiver

Caylor Arnold / USA TODAY Sports

Drew Ott's collegiate career is over.

The NCAA denied the Iowa defensive lineman's medical hardship waiver on Wednesday, he confirmed. Ott tore his ACL six weeks into the 2015 campaign.

That doesn't mean Ott's football career is done, though. The pass-rusher could be an intriguing pro prospect, as he posted 15.5 sacks over the last three seasons.

It remains to be seen if anyone will take a chance on Ott in the NFL draft because of his knee injury, but he may at least get an invite to a camp this summer.
