Carmelo Anthony guarantees Syracuse upset over North Carolina

A decade after leading Syracuse to the promised land, Carmelo Anthony still bleeds orange.

No. 10 Syracuse is this year's Cinderella after knocking off a series of heavyweights, and next up in the Final Four is No. 1 North Carolina, which figures to be the significant favorite.

Anthony, who ranks as the most accomplished Syracuse product from the past two decades, has the utmost faith in his former head coach Jim Boeheim and this year's roster.

"We're going to beat them," Anthony told reporters Wednesday night. "Guarantee? Yeah. We're the underdogs for sure. You can't just win off momentum. You got to go out and play the game. It's not going to be a walk in the park, but I feel we're going to get them. I have a feeling."

The 31-year-old was ecstatic after the Orange toppled No. 1 Virginia last weekend and shared a number of celebratory Snapchats.

Maybe Anthony will attend the match to get a reminder of what success feels like before the Summer Olympics.
