Yale's Brandon Sherrod breaks record for consecutive shots made

Yale forward Brandon Sherrod has been on fire lately.
Sherrod entered Friday's game against Columbia without a missed field goal since Jan. 16 - a string spanning four games - and the trend continued long enough to rewrite the NCAA Division I history books.
Sherrod broke the record on an uncontested soft flush. The senior added another three made field goals to the record before finally missing a shot.
The previous mark of 26 consecutive made field goals was established in 2012 by Bowling Green's Torian Oglesby. It was tied earlier this season by Eastern Michigan's James Thompson.
