Ray Carlin / USA TODAY

Former George Mason guard Isaiah Jackson has chosen to transfer to Providence, according to multiple sources.

Before selecting the Friars, Jackson reportedly considered Houston and UCF.

The 6-foot-6 Gainesville, Fla. native was granted a release from his scholarship in May and will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2015-16 season, according to Raphielle Johnson of NBC Sports.

In his sole season with George Mason in 2014-15, Jackson averaged 8.7 points and 3.9 rebounds over 31 games - 23 of which he started.
