What to Watch Day 6: Does Utah have what it takes to stop Duke?

Jeremy Brevard / USA TODAY Sports

Each day of the NCAA tournament theScore's staff will highlight the biggest games and best matchups that deserve to get your attention. We will let you know when to watch and where you can tune in.

3 games to watch

South Region: No. 1 Duke vs. No. 5 Utah, 9:45 p.m. ET on CBS

Everything is bigger in Texas. Especially if you're Duke's Justise Winslow, who is set to play under the bright lights of NRG Stadium in his hometown of Houston for a pivotal Sweet 16 matchup against Utah.

While the freshman Winslow has been a quiet force for the Blue Devils, all eyes will still be on No. 1 NBA draft prospect Jahlil Okafor and after he consistently put up over 20 points in his last three games – there should be reason to worry for the Utes.

That said, Utah could pull off a big upset if its best players are able to step up and shut down Duke's high-powered offense. Easier said than done, the Utes will also need big offensive performances from Delon Wright and Brandon Taylor to balance out the scoring.

South Region: No. 11 UCLA vs. No. 2 Gonzaga, 7:15 p.m. ET on CBS

A pivotal game for both teams but one Gonzaga needs to win in order to make a statement. The Bulldogs have never made it to the Final Four despite making the NCAA tournament 17 consecutive times.

A lot of that will depend on the play of Bulldogs junior forward Kyle Wiltjer, who looked great in outings against Iowa and North Dakota State. Gonzaga was also able to take the Bruins down 87-74 on Dec. 13 with Wiltjer putting up 24 points in the process.

Because of the loss, a 23-point performance from UCLA's Bryce Alford went virtually unnoticed in the game against Gonzaga. If the Bruins can slow Wiltjer down, it could certainly open an opportunity for UCLA to pull ahead and win the game.

East Region: No. 7 Michigan State vs. No. 3 Oklahoma, 10:07 p.m. ET on TBS

It's all about Buddy Hield in Oklahoma these days. The Big 12 Player of the Year has proven himself as a complete player for the Sooners after showing off his defensive prowess against Dayton when he blocked a last-minute shot to help his team earn its Sweet 16 spot.

Michigan State might still be on a high after dropping Virginia for the second straight year, thanks in part to Travis Trice playing hero and putting up 23 points in a 60-54 victory over the Cavaliers in North Carolina on Sunday. The Spartans will need another stellar performance from Trice in order to overthrow Oklahoma for another upset.

UCLA G Bryce Alford vs. Gonzaga F Kyle Wiltjer

Bryce Alford has had a superstar run in the tournament, posting double-digit points to lead his team to victory in both games. Shooting more than 50-percent from beyond the arc, UCLA can lean on Alford's ability to sink those deep 3s that cannot be blocked. If Alford has a bad day on the court, it could dash the Bruins hopes.

Kyle Wiltjer has also been thriving under tournament pressure like Alford, racking up double-digit points and going deep for his shots. One of the best offensive players in the nation, look for him to be instrumental in running up the score.
