No. 4 Duke defeated No. 2 Virginia at the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday. The loss marks the Cavaliers' first of the season - they were 19-0 heading into Saturday night - as Duke improves to 18-3.

After a tight first half that Virginia would eventually finish up by a single point, the Blue Devils found their groove in the second half and scored a whopping 17 points from outside the paint after recording none in the opening frame.

Duke senior guard Quinn Cook and freshman forward Justise Winslow were both major offensive factors for their squad in the second half, and took some pressure off star freshman center Jahlil Okafor who only put up 10 points.

Despite a strong outing from junior guard Malcolm Brogdon, who registered 17 points, Virginia found itself behind late in the half and ultimately lost 69-63.

Duke will now face Georgia Tech at home on Wednesday, while Virginia will hope to rebound on Monday in another tough match-up against No. 13 North Carolina.
