Indiana has found its man.

Dayton's Archie Miller will be the Hoosiers' next head coach, the team announced Saturday. It appears to be a seven-year deal for Miller, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

"I am honored to be the head coach at Indiana University," Miller said. "IU is one of the greatest basketball programs and academic institutions in the country and I cannot wait to get started. With peerless fan support, outstanding facilities and tradition, a beautiful campus, and located in one of the most fertile recruiting areas in the country, IU is a dream destination for me and my family. I cannot wait to connect with former players, current players, and future players, and all of Hoosier Nation."

Miller will take over one of the premier jobs in college basketball after spending the past six seasons at Dayton. The 38-year-old has done a tremendous job with the Flyers, leading them to a 139-63 record over that span.

Dayton has earned a trip to the NCAA tournament in each of the past four seasons under Miller and made it all the way to the Elite Eight in 2014.

The expectations will no doubt be higher in Bloomington, though, as reaching three Sweet 16s in six seasons wasn't enough for Tom Crean to keep his job.

"While there was great interest in this position, Archie Miller was on my short list from the very beginning," athletic director Fred Glass said. "The more I learned about him, the more convinced I became that he is the coach we need to meet our high expectations for many years to come."
