Report: Syracuse's Tyler Lydon to enter NBA draft, sign with agent

Rich Barnes / USA TODAY Sports

Syracuse forward Tyler Lydon will enter the 2017 NBA Draft and hire an agent, multiple sources told Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports.

It will be a tough loss for the Orange, as Lydon was averaging 13.2 points per game to go along with 8.6 rebounds in his sophomore campaign. As a freshman, Lydon averaged 10.1 points and 6.3 rebounds, so he's seen a decent improvement in year two under Jim Boeheim.

By hiring an agent, Lydon will not be able to withdraw his name from the draft, thus ending his collegiate career.

Lydon was a key contributor on Syracuse's Final Four team from a year ago, but the Orange failed to make the NCAA tournament this time around.

Some feel the 6-foot-9 forward could hear his name called late in the first round this summer.
