Michigan State's Miles Bridges: Freshman year ends with team-high 22

Bridges had 22 points (7-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-9 FT), eight rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes during Sunday's NCAA Tournament loss to Kansas.

Analysis:

Bridges had to leave the game briefly in the first half due to what appeared to be cramping problems, but he was able to return shortly thereafter, and certainly made his mark on this game. He led all Michigan State players in scoring (as he did throughout the year with a 16.9 PPG average), and also grabbed more rebounds than anyone in the game not named Landen Lucas. Bridges will now have a decision to make about going pro, and that process will likely begin with the 6-7 wing evaluating his stock at the combine. Most resources have Bridges as a first-round draft pick, though should he decide to stay, Tom Izzo's Spartans would likely be immediate favorites to win the Big Ten conference.
