South Florida leaves 2 players behind after game against Tulsa

David Butler II / USA TODAY Sports

Not only did South Florida lose the game against Tulsa on Thursday, but it briefly lost a couple of its players as well.

Bulls interim head coach Murry Bartow confirmed that two players were separated from the team while getting a connecting flight in Houston, causing them to miss the plane.

Bulls guard Troy Holston was one of the players left behind, and his mother wasn't happy about the situation.

"It's very disappointing, and it's a reflection of how terrible a program the men's basketball program is," Monique Holston-Greene told Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times.

It's been a season to forget for South Florida, as the Bulls have only seven wins and are just 1-15 in conference play.
