Analysis:

After going through a four-game stretch in early February where the most he scored was eight points, Markkanen has really stepped up his play with back-to-back double-doubles. Saturday's performance against Washington was the second highest scoring game of Markkanen's career. The freshman has demonstrated his ability to explode for big games, and he's averaging 15.7 points and 7.5 rebounds this season. The Wildcats move on to face USC on Thursday.
