Jim Boeheim thinks very highly of Gonzaga this season

The legendary Syracuse head coach offered high praise to the No. 1 team in the country, saying on the "College Hoops Today" Podcast that he believes the Bulldogs are destined for the last weekend of the NCAA tournament, according to Jon Rothstein of Fan Rag Sports.

"I think they're going to go to the Final Four," Boeheim said. "They've got high-major players who are playing at a high level. If they get situated, this is best Gonzaga team that I've seen."

Since current head coach Mark Few took over the team in 1999-00, the Bulldogs have qualified for the NCAA tournament in all 17 seasons. That included six trips to the Sweet 16 and one to the Elite Eight, when they lost 66-52 to Duke in 2014-15.

Gonzaga currently sports a spotless record of 24-0 with six games remaining on its regular-season schedule. Most notable is a Feb. 11 matchup against No. 20 Saint Mary's.
