TCU will honor one of its former All-Americans on Saturday when they welcome in-state rival Texas to Schollmaier Arena.

Former Horned Frogs forward and 18-year NBA veteran Kurt Thomas will have his number raised to the rafters for his contribution to the program, according to Jimmy Burch of The Star-Telegram.

Thomas played four years at TCU, from 1990-91 to 1994-95, averaging 14.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks. He was named the Southwest Conference player of the year in 1995, along with being named an All-American after averaging an outstanding 28.9 points, 14.6 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks as a senior.

After being selected 10th overall in the 1995 NBA Draft by the Miami Heat, he spent the majority of his career with the New York Knicks across two separate stints, along with stops with the Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, Seattle SuperSonics, San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, and Portland Trailblazers.
