Arizona's Kadeem Allen: Excellent all-around effort

Allen had 18 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 7-10 FT), eight assists, four rebounds and four steals in Thursday's win over Arizona State.

Analysis:

Freshman Lauri Markkanen may get most of the attention for the 16-2 Wildcats, but Allen's senior presence is the glue holding this team together. The backcourt duo of Allen and Parker Jackson-Cartwright are averaging 8.7 assists per game, generating well more than half of the team's production in that category. Allen has personally picked it up of late, averaging 15.7 PPG over his last three and attempting double-digit free throws in back-to-back contests.
