Florida State assistant says Grayson Allen didn't push him

An unlikely source has come to Grayson Allen's defense after some accused him of pushing a Florida State assistant on Tuesday.

Dennis Gates, the coach Allen collided with while chasing down a loose ball, says people need to give the Duke guard a break and that it was nothing more than "a great hustle play."

Given Allen's three tripping incidents over the past two seasons, his actions will no doubt be highly scrutinized for the remainder of his career.

Perhaps the nice gesture by Gates will ease tensions somewhat when the teams meet again in February.
