Auburn adds 4-star PF E.J. Montgomery to 2018 class

Bruce Pearl added a major piece for Auburn's future Thursday by landing four-star power forward E.J. Montgomery for the class of 2018.

The 6-foot-10, 215-pound Florida native is ranked as the ninth-best power forward in the country and listed 23rd on the ESPN 60.

Montgomery's commitment represents another big win on the recruiting trail for Pearl, who secured two players from the ESPN 100 for the 2016 recruiting class in Mustapha Heron and Jared Harper.

Despite interest from top programs such as Duke, UCLA, and Kentucky, Montgomery will head to the Plains and play for the fiery Pearl when he begins his collegiate career in a couple years.
