Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey got his man.

Four-star forward D.J. Harvey Jr. announced his commitment to the Fighting Irish on Tuesday, and credited Brey's recruiting efforts in convincing him that Notre Dame is the place to be.

"I was (Mike Brey's) No. 1 guy and he showed it by not missing a single event in all my summers," Harvey told Jeff Borzello of ESPN. Harvey also added that Brey's in-person visit Monday night along with members of his staff made the decision that much easier.

Harvey is the 47th-ranked player on the ESPN 100 for the 2017 class, and received offers from many other programs, including Arizona, UConn, Duke, Oklahoma, Texas, UCLA, and Villanova.
