Hall of Fame college basketball coach Bobby Knight, who led both Indiana and Texas Tech with an undying ferocious intensity, spoke out Thursday to lend his support to republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

A video of Knight saying he is "very proud to be a part of team Trump," and commending the 70-year-old, saying Trump "will always have winning on his mind," was shown across the convention floor.

Knight has not been shy in his support of Trump prior to the Republican National Convention. Knight publicly predicted Trump will become one of the four greatest American presidents because of a shared willingness with former president Harry Truman to drop a bomb, according to Eugene Scott of CNN.

"Harry Truman, with what he did in dropping and having the guts to drop the bomb in 1944, saved, saved millions of American lives," Knight said. "And that's what Harry Truman did and he became one of the three great presidents of the United States. And here's a man who would do the same thing because he's going to become one of the four great presidents of the United States."
