Oregon guard Dylan Ennis, who played only twice last year because of injury, has been granted a waiver by the NCAA to return for his sixth collegiate season.

Ennis transferred to the Ducks ahead of the 2015-16 campaign and was expected to be an impact player immediately, but a foot injury wiped out nearly all of his season.

Before arriving at Oregon, Ennis spent the previous two seasons with Villanova, where he was a reliable rotation player at guard. While he was limited to a grand total of two points in 21 minutes last season, Ennis averaged 9.9 points and 3.5 assists for Villanova in 2014-15. The 24-year-old played his freshman year with Rice before going to the Wildcats as an undergraduate transfer.

Ennis' return to Eugene should help the Ducks in their quest to repeat as Pac-12 champions next year. Along with Ennis, Dana Altman's club is set to get back a host of contributors from last year's team, including fellow Canadians Dillon Brooks and Chris Boucher.
