Texas nets 5-star center Jarrett Allen

The last remaining five-star recruit in the 2016 class has found his home, and it's not too far away from his own.
Jarrett Allen, the No. 15 overall recruit on the ESPN 100, signed scholarship papers with Texas on Friday and is now a member of the Longhorns, he confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Borzello.
Allen entertained offers from Houston and Kansas before selecting Texas. He should have an opportunity to become an immediate contributor for Shaka Smart's club.

Allen, who hails from Austin, is listed at 6-foot-10 and 220 pounds.
