Kentucky's Marcus Lee enters NBA draft without representation

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Marcus Lee is the fourth Kentucky player to declare for the 2016 NBA Draft this season, but unlike the previous three, he's keeping his options open.

"I haven't hired an agent," the junior forward told ESPN. "I want to keep my eligibility just in case I decide to come back, but my plan is to go to the NBA. That's the only goal."

Jamal Murray, Tyler Ulis, and Skal Labissiere all declared for the draft earlier this month with agent representation, ending their college eligibility. Despite Lee's decision to hold off on signing with an agent, it's clear he hopes to play at the pro level next year.

"I want people to know I'm serious about this," Lee said. "I've talked to coach Calipari about this, and he definitely understands that I'm going to the NBA this year."

In three seasons with Kentucky, Lee has shown flashes of his potential, but never reached a level of consistency. This past season was his most productive, as he averaged 6.4 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes per game.
