NCAA Game Summary - Towson at College of Charleston

Charleston, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Jerrelle Benimon registered a double- double with 21 points and 11 rebounds as the Towson Tigers captured a 72-57 win over the College of Charleston in Colonial Athletic Association play at TD Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Tigers (12-6, 3-0 CAA) were Mike Burwell with 18 points, Rafriel Guthrie 14 and Four McGlynn 11 points as Towson extended its win streak to five in a row.

The Cougars (10-9, 2-2) were paced by Willis Hall who tallied 20 points and cleared a game-high 12 rebounds as the team fell for the second time in three games. Adjehi Baru came up a rebound shy of his own double-double as he poured in 15 points for the hosts.

Both teams shot just under 39 percent from the field in the first half, but thanks to a 5-of-8 showing behind the 3-point line, the Tigers were able to offset just 2-of-6 at the charity stripe in order to come out with a 31-29 advantage at the break.

Connecting on only 29.4 percent from the floor in the second half, the Cougars couldn't keep up, especially as Towson made good on 16-of-21 at the free-throw line in the period.

The Tigers, who shot 6-of-12 beyond the arc on the day, turned the ball over a mere five times.
