Kyle Lowry could be rested Saturday against the Spurs.

Lowry could be rested Saturday against the Spurs on the second night of a back-to-back set, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.

Analysis:

While nothing is set in stone at this point, it seems like an obvious opportunity for Toronto give some of its regulars a night off as the postseason approaches. Lowry, DeMar DeRozan and Jonas Valanciunas are all candidates to be rested, though the team may not officially make that call until later in the day. Lowry, who has been battling an elbow issue of late, has played 36, 40 and 36 minutes over the last three games and ranks second in the NBA, behind only James Harden, in minutes per game.
