Sacramento Kings All-Star DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended one game by the NBA for picking up his 16th technical foul of the season Wednesday in a 120-111 victory over the Washington Wizards.

Per NBA rules, receiving 16 technical fouls automatically leads to a one-game suspension, with every two technicals afterwards resulting in an additional game.

Cousins' technical Wednesday came with just six seconds remaining in the game after he sarcastically clapped at referee Marc Davis.

He will serve his suspension Friday when the Kings host Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat at Sleep Train Arena.

Ironically enough, "Boogie" missed a 116-109 loss to Miami earlier in the season as a result of a one-game suspension he received for delivering a forearm to the head of Atlanta Hawks big man Al Horford one night prior.

In his sixth season with the franchise, Cousins is averaging 27 points (fourth in NBA) and 11.6 rebounds (fifth) on 45.3 percent shooting.
