Reggie Jackson: Late scratch Wednesday
Jackson was scratched from the lineup shortly before Wednesday's game against the Nuggets due to an illness, Nuggets radio play-by-play announcer Jason Kosmicki reports.
Analysis:
This is very unfortunate news for those hoping Jackson would take on an added workload in the wake of the absences of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (groin), Ersan Ilyasova (illness), Reggie Bullock (nose), and Jodie Meeks (foot). Jackson had previously been confirmed as the Pistons' starting point guard for the night, but the team must have determined shortly after warmups ended that the 25-year-old wasn't fit to play. In his stead, Brandon Jennings will run the offense and could be in line for his largest minutes load of the season. Due to the All-Star break, the Pistons won't play again until Feb. 19 against the Wizards, so Jackson should be fully healthy by that point.
