Hassan Whiteside: Will come off the bench Tuesday

Whiteside (ankle) is active and available to play off the bench Tuesday versus the Spurs, according to Tuesday's TNT telecast.

Analysis:

Coach Erik Spoelstra said Whiteside looked good during Sunday's game against the Clippers, so it's not a surprise he'll be available Tuesday. Spoelstra also noted that Whiteside could see elevated court time against the Spurs, so after seeing just 17 minutes on Sunday, look for him to settle back into the 25-to-30 minute range, even as he remains in a bench role behind starting center Amar'e Stoudemire.
