Andersen continues to deal with some soreness in his left knee, and the Heat decided it was in the veteran's best interest to take the next week-plus off to rest. The Heat will be without the services of Andersen, Goran Dragic (calf), Beno Udrih (neck), and Josh McRoberts (knee) on Wednesday, but Birdman's absence is the least of the team's concerns. Andersen is averaging only 5.1 minutes across seven appearances this season.
