Report: Barbosa expects to return to Warriors next week

The Golden State Warriors appear to be coming out of a rare storm cloud of injuries. A day after getting back small forward Harrison Barnes, reserve guard Leandro Barbosa is hopeful he'll return to action early next week, according to Yahoo Sports' Marc J. Spears.

The 33-year-old Brazilian has missed the last five games with a shoulder injury.

Barnes returned to action Monday for the first time since Nov. 27 with an ankle injury. Team catalyst Stephen Curry also came back after missing most of the Warriors' previous three contests.

Barbosa is only seeing 14.2 minutes per game this season, but fills a useful role as a leg saver for Curry and Klay Thompson off the Dubs' bench. He's a 40-percent 3-point shooter on just under two attempts per game, and is averaging six points and 1.4 assists.

The Warriors play seven of their next 10 games on the road.
