Cole (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies, but coach Alvin Gentry said that "unless something bizarre happens," the guard will be available for the contest.

Analysis:

In addition to Cole, the Pelicans are expected to get Tyreke Evans (knee) back Tuesday in what will mark the season debuts for both players. Because both Cole and Evans have missed more than a month with their respective injuries, the duo will likely play limited minutes in the early going, before gradually increasing their workloads over time. Cole should eventually settle in as the top backup at point guard behind Jrue Holiday, but at least initially, he could see a reduced role given how well Ish Smith has played off the bench this season.
