Ryan Hollins: Signs with Wizards

Hollins reached an agreement on a contract with the Wizards on Monday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

The Wizards parted ways with the injured Martell Webster (hip) on Monday, opening up a roster spot for Hollins, who was waived by the Grizzlies prior to the start of the regular season. The UCLA product, who's played for seven teams since entering the league in 2006, will add depth to a shallow Washington frontcourt, though he doesn't figure to be a major contributor. That said, with Drew Gooden and Nene both currently dealing with calf injuries, Hollins could be in line for regular minutes off the bench in short term.
