Derrick Rose out vs. Suns with ankle sprain

The Chicago Bulls were without point guard Derrick Rose for Wednesday's game against the Phoenix Suns due to a sprained right ankle, CSN's Vincent Goodwill reports.

Kirk Hinrich drew the start.

Rose originally downplayed the severity of his injury after tweaking his left ankle on Monday, calling it "just a regular ankle sprain." However, the ankle was still too sore for the oft-injured guard to suit up in time for Wednesday's game.

In addition to his surgically repaired knees and sore ankles, Rose is also dealing with double vision stemming from the orbital fracture he sustained during the first day of training camp.

The double vision is expected to last for another three months.

Rose holds averages of 13.6 points, three rebounds, and six assists in 32.4 minutes through 10 games on the season. He's shooting a miserable 37.7 percent from the field and just 15 percent from deep, but that could be largely due to his injuries.
