Davis will start at power forward Sunday against the Hornets.

Analysis:

Chris Kaman entered the starting lineup Friday against the Grizzlies in what marked the Blazers' first game without Meyers Leonard (shoulder), but he didn't do much to impress, collecting eight points, four rebounds, and three assists in 24 minutes. Prior to Leonard's injury, Davis had ranked ahead of Kaman in the pecking order for playing time in the Portland frontcourt, so it's not too surprising that Davis was quickly able to take the reins of a starting role. With Leonard expected to miss at least a month with the injury, opportunity knocks for Davis, who had already helped out deep leaguers by hauling in 7.4 rebounds per game this season while averaging just 20.3 minutes.
