Bradley Beal returns from shoulder injury vs. Pistons

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal will be back in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Detroit Pistons, the team announced.

Beal had missed the team's last three games on account of a shoulder injury. He was originally listed as questionable against the Pistons on Friday.

The Wizards caught a bit of good fortune with respect to the timing of Beal's injury: The team has only played three games over the last 12 days, which allowed him to recover without missing much action.

Beal is emerging as one of the league's best two-way players for his position since being drafted third overall in 2012. He's posting career highs in points (22.7), rebounds (4.7), and 3-point percentage (47.1) while serving as the NO. 1 option in Washington's newfangled up-tempo offense.

Beal's return will knock Garrett Temple back to the bench.
